Manali Magic: My Journey Through Paradise in the Lap of Nature

For my colleague and me, extended weekends are the ideal excuse to sneak away for a quick mountain getaway. Since we started working together, we’ve managed to squeeze in trips to Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Rishikesh. Our next adventure, of course, had to be Manali.

With only four days to spare, we were excited to explore not just Manali, but also Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass. The reviews of Thrillophilia I found online not only met my expectations but exceeded them. However, with work deadlines looming, we didn’t have the luxury of time to plan everything in detail or handle bookings—something that had caused us headaches in the past. This time, we were determined to keep things hassle-free.

Planning with Thrillophilia

A friend of my colleague had recommended booking a tour package online with Thrillophilia, and the rave reviews convinced us to give it a try. Since neither of us had much experience with tour operators, we were impressed by how smooth and easy the process was. Thrillophilia offered a variety of packages, and we chose the ‘Mystical Manali’ package, which included all the destinations we wanted to see in just four days. The package also covered Manikaran and Kasol, which made us even more excited.

The booking was incredibly simple. Thrillophilia handled everything—transport, hotel bookings, and local transfers—after just asking us for a few preferences. All we had to do was pack our bags and be ready to go!

The Manali Magic

Our trip began with an overnight journey from Delhi to Manali, so we could maximize our time in the mountains.

On Day 1, we explored the charm of Manali’s Old Town, visited the historic Hadimba Temple, and relaxed in the therapeutic Vashisht Hot Springs. The Tibetan Monastery and Van Vihar National Park added a calming touch to the day. One of us was initially worried about crowds, but since we visited during the off-season, we were able to explore at a leisurely pace. We wrapped up the day with a stroll down Mall Road, sampling local dishes and picking up souvenirs.

Day 2 was all about adventure in Solang Valley. We were up early at 5 a.m., eager to catch the sunrise over a cup of hot coffee. Once we reached Solang, we were awestruck by the natural beauty of the valley. We tried paragliding and zorbing down the slopes, though we missed out on skiing. The highlight, however, was riding the cable car, which offered breathtaking views of the valley. We also decided to try something a little different—an ATV ride—which was just as thrilling as skiing! Riding the ATV down the slopes gave us the same rush of excitement.

On Day 3, we ventured to Rohtang Pass. This was our first experience with snow, and we couldn’t help but feel like kids as we made snow angels and snowmen. We were so caught up in the joy of playing in the snow that we forgot to ski until we were completely exhausted. In the end, we squeezed in a late skiing session. Rohtang was the most physically demanding day of the trip, but also the most thrilling.

On our final day, we visited the serene Manikaran, famous for its Gurdwara and hot springs. The langar meal was exceptional, and the cool mountain air, combined with the warm food, made the experience unforgettable. Afterward, we headed to Kasol, where we relaxed by the river, enjoying hot Maggi. No matter how often we try to recreate it at home, Maggi in the mountains is a whole different experience.

As we made our way back to Delhi on the overnight ride, sharing pictures and reflecting on the trip, we couldn’t help but feel grateful. It had been our most relaxed and stress-free trip yet, thanks to Thrillophilia. If you’re thinking about a trip to the Andamans, checking out Thrillophilia reviews will provide you with a clear insight into their outstanding services. No more stressing about local transport or last-minute bookings—we could simply enjoy the journey, knowing someone else had taken care of the details.

We’re already planning our next extended weekend trip, and we’ve decided that all future getaways will be with Thrillophilia!
