5 Must-Have Gadgets for Travel

This is the best time of the year for me. The holiday season is coming, and I cannot be more excited because it’s time for me to pack my bags and travel to my favorite destinations. Call it a ritual; I always take some gadgets with me on a trip because they help me provide the best travel experience.

Below, I’ll share some travel gadgets that I’m planning to buy for my next trip. I may or may not buy all these gadgets, but I’m sure they’ll be of great help on any trip. So, let’s start:

A Self-Cleaning Water Bottle

On to go, finding potable water may be a problem. While some people may not care about it, I believe nothing ruins a holiday like when you feel under the weather. So, to ensure you stay hydrated and drink clean water anywhere you go, a self-cleaning water bottle should be by your side.

Brand I Recommend

I have recently discovered LARQ. They’re offering quality self-cleaning water bottles which come with a 1-year warranty.

Features

  • With UV radiations dissipating from the bottle’s cap, LARQ claims to remove 99.8% of E. coli, a harmful bacteria in water.
  • The double-wall insulation in the water bottle keeps the water cold for 24 hours and warm for 12 hours.
  • With a simple button press, you may enable the water filtering feature on the go.

A Multi-Purpose Knife

A multi-purpose knife is a real lifesaver, especially when you’re out camping or on a hike. You never know when you’ll need a sharp item to open a food can or cut ropes or bushes on a trip. Or you may need to cut your nails or fix something with a handy screwdriver. In all these cases and more, a multi-purpose knife is the best to have.

Brands I Recommend

Leatherman’s Free T-4 seems a nice option as it comes with a variety of 12 different tools for a variety of tasks.

Features

  • It’s a one-hand multi-purpose knife, and you may easily use all the tools using a single hand.
  • All the tools in this multi-purpose knife are locked in their place, making the gadgets safe to carry in pockets.
  • This product is made up of stainless steel and won’t get rusty with time.

A Portable Power Station

What if the hotel you’re staying at on your trip has frequent power outages? Or, do you want to light up your campsite or charge your camera’s battery? With no wall socket in sight, a portable power station may help you provide electricity access off the grid.

Brands I Recommend

Westinghouse iGen160s Portable Power Station is the one I’m looking to buy for my trip and considering what it can do for me, paying $139.99 seems a fair deal.

Features

  • This portable power station can charge up to 9 devices simultaneously.
  • You can also charge this power station using solar energy. So, even if there’s no electricity available, you can easily charge it using the sunlight.
  • This portable power station offers low-voltage, short-circuit, and overload protection to keep your devices’ batteries safe in every way possible.

A Bluetooth Sleep Mask

A lot of people, including myself, have a difficult time sleeping in a new place. While camping, I block out all the external noise and listen to the calm and deep music on my playlist. And that’s where a Bluetooth sleep mask can help me sleep like a baby after a tiring day.

Brands I Recommend

I’ve explored several brands, but MANTA Sound Sleep Mask seems the best choice. Simply because of its features and the price tag of just $143.

Features

  • This product offers a 20-hour battery life on a single charge.
  • This Bluetooth sleep mask can perfectly block outside noise and when the battery drops, the gadget won’t notify you with an audible notification sound.
  • The product offers a C-shaped cup that is soothing for the eyes.

A Tracking Device

A tracking device is especially helpful to have peace of mind on a trip. There are some instances where we forget to keep track of our expensive and important belongings. And to avoid such situations, I believe everyone should have a tracking device on a trip.

Brands I Recommend

I was a bit tilted towards Air Tags, but as they could only be used with the Apple devices, I may go for Tile Pro. They’re exactly the same as Air Tags, but they also work with Android devices. Plus, they’re cheaper than Air Tags, and a pack of 4 costs only $79.99, and if you want to buy a single piece, it’ll cost you $27.99.

Features

  • Even if your phone is on silent, double-press the button on Tile to find your phone.
  • In Anti-Theft Mode, Tile Pro is not discoverable by thieves, even if they use certain Bluetooth scanning systems.
  • Tile Pro is IP68 rated, which means it is water resistant for up to 5 ft/1.5m and has a range of about 500ft.

A Travel Safe

A travel safe is a must to pack all your expensive electronics on a trip. With a travel safe, you may put all the expensive belongings, for instance, cameras, drones, or other items in a travel safe and enjoy your holidays without worry.

Power Bank

Our smartphones are extremely important. Be it to navigate our way, communicate with our loved ones, listen to our favorite playlists, and more, there’s no denying that we cannot afford our smartphones to die out of battery. And for this reason, it’s best to always have a power bank in your backpack.
